We're Bringing Essential Items To 100s of Vulnerable Families in Azraq
AECF provides critically-needed food, household and hygiene aid to vulnerable families in the Azraq community, helping to meet their basic needs.
Our Method for Success:
AECF purchases all items locally in Jordan, ensuring that we support the economy with every purchase. Items are distributed directly to families either at our center, or directly to their homes. We collaborate closely with our local partner, Nachmyat Eastern Badia Cooperative, to identify families most in need, or emergency situations, and respond quickly.
Providing regular in-kind food assistance helps us to alleviate financial burdens and keep families full. It is also an additional incentive to make sure that families send their kids to our education program and don’t use negative coping strategies to deal with poverty and hunger, such as pulling children out of school and having young children work and/or get married early.
What We Need:
FOOD
Packages with essential staple items like rice, beans and powdered milk are designed to sustain a family of six for up to three weeks.
winter ITEMS
Winter closing, heaters, and gas canisters will keep families warm in negative temperatures all winter long.
HYGIENE/MEDICAL/Emergency
Improve hygiene conditions with diapers for children and the elderly, women's menstrual items, and soap. Respond to urgent medical needs.
